About Me…

JeanThanks so much for visiting our 4th grade blog!  I’m so excited about this school year!  I’m sure that I will learn much about you and your family as the year progresses.  It’s always nice to know a little bit about the person that your child spends most of his/her weekdays with.  So here goes…

I was born and raised in the sunshine state of Florida — Miami, Florida to be exact.  While this is a really cool place to visit (and I still do), I graduated from high school and moved to Tampa, Florida.  I lived there for nine years. This is the place where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and a master’s degree in Elementary education.  I attended the magnificent University of South Florida – Go Bulls!  In Tampa, I also met and married my now wonderful husband who is also a teacher in Cobb county.  I moved to the metro Atlanta area in 2006 where I taught elementary school for the first time.

I have two amazing kiddos that attend Teasley (one in 5th grade and one in 2nd grade).  This is my eleventh year teaching and my second year at Teasley.  I love it here!  I’m ecstatic about being a Teasley tiger!  I hope that you feel the same.
