About Us…

Thanks so much for visiting our 4th grade blog!  I’m so excited about this school year!  I’m sure that I will learn much about you and your family as the year progresses.  It’s always nice to know a little bit about the people that your child spends most of his/her weekdays with.  So here goes…

I was born and raised in the sunshine state of Florida — Miami, Florida to be exact.  While this is a really cool place to visit (and I still do), I graduated from high school and moved to Tampa, Florida.  I lived there for nine years. This is the place where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and a master’s degree in Elementary education.  I attended the magnificent University of South Florida – Go Bulls!  In Tampa, I also met and married my now wonderful husband who is also a teacher in Cobb county.  I moved to the metro Atlanta area in 2006 where I taught elementary school for the first time.

I have two amazing kiddos – one that’s a 3rd grader at Teasley and another in middle school at Lovinggood Middle.  This is my twelfth year teaching and my third year at Teasley.  I love it here!  I’m ecstatic about being a Teasley tiger!  I hope that you feel the same.

Meg AhernHello Families! I am so excited about this upcoming school year! I was born and raised here in Georgia. I am a UGA graduate and a huge Bulldogs fan! I earned my bachelor’s  degree in speech pathology from UGA, and a master’s degree in special education from the University of West Georgia. I moved to Cobb County after college and have been teaching for the past 12 years – 10 of those being 4th grade!

I have a 3 year old son and an 8 month old daughter who keep me really busy! We love to be outside, go hiking, and read books together. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year and am excited to be a Teasley Tiger!!
